Irwin - I have the album in my collection. It is pretty good and electric but I prefer Milagro.

This is a very nice late night Pasqua album I also like.

This is also good for late night listening:

Heard a friend's copy sometime ago. Nice!

How does 'My New Old Friend' compare to it? Only heard snippets of it.

There is nothing too challenging about New Old Friend - just simple, well played, tuneful, melodic trio jazz.

I never got into Russian Peasant which is solo. Will have to dig it out and play again.

The best Kenny Wheeler album, IMHO, with a stellar supporting cast.

I love following the paths from artist to artist, perhaps a bass player I like or a producer that is consistently on albums I like. It is like a tree and I love climbing all the branches. Links on myspace have been helpful and cdbaby always has suggestions for something "similar" if you give them an artist name.

And then the suggestions from forum members like yourself are just more trees to climb.

Having health issues is no fun, as you know, but after my work week is over I spend my time listening, learning and exploring. That, and the love of my lady, is all I can ask for at this point in life.

Cheers my friend.

Dylan:Modern Times .... from a recent comment I read: It's perhaps a mellower bard (""my cruel weapons have been put on the shelf"), a fellow now ready to admit that "I'll be with you when the deal goes down".

Eclectic album, but very clever.

I bought that because of Pat's postings, and I love it. An album guaranteed to make me feel better by the time it is complete.
