On the black stuff after re-plumbing the 202 back in. sounds great and the 122X is now on borrowed time.

It always takes me a minute or two for my mind to acclimatize to the twangy lute sound but Narciso Yepes quickly makes this adjustment very enjoyable for one to follow his style of musical flow. In fact he makes it all sound so easy, to play a lute i mean. Looking at the big picture of the instrument (from the sleeve-notes in lp box) it has 4 x pairs of longer bass strings, 8 pairs of shorter strings, and 2 higher pitch single strings. So this totals 26 strings?.., and each one with a tuning key! (someone correct me if i'm wrong here)
To my way of thinking, this must be a very difficult instrument to learn to play at high standard, but Narciso Yepes makes is seem so fascinatingly easy.

Debs

Debs,

many thks for the pointer - many of the DG Galleria were issued as well in Australia under the Eloquence label, I might have more luck there.

Cheers ... Oliver

Lo Rich.
Out of the Blue is next on my to buy list. Several ELO albums were kindly recommended here a while back for me. Limited funds has made it a slower process than I'd have liked, but they'll all arrive soon enough.

Beck - Sea Change

Don't know why but hardly played this CD. Halfway through and it's melancholy is wonderful. This USA version lights up my HDCD display and confirming a HQ production + recording. The other surprising thing in the credits shows Roger Manning & Jason Falkner. On repeated listens I'll confirm to myself if I heard any Jellyfish influences. One for the iPhone Adrian Cool
