That is pricey. I got a copy when it came out. I wonder if it will ever get a reissue.

Much as I like Steve Wilson's music, I do find his attitude towards fans either lazy or cynical. I suspect he has been tainted by some of Fripp's views. The mess of concert date releasing, the anti bootleg stance, and the way he allows editions of albums to become priced like this.

By and large I agree with you on this. There appears to be a bewildering number of versions, remasters, etc. of everything going about. Porcupine Tree have over the years built up an incredibly loyal and fanatical following that lap everything up. One normal CD of each album is all I require thank you very much.

Steve Wilson is still a genius mind!

Today's new vinyl purchase - pretty decent stuff - not the best pressing I've ever heard. I suspect Beck will be going back on soon though....

Roland Orzabal - Tomcats Screaming Outside

A few years back I listened to this in the Augusta, GA branch of Borders. You could stick a pair of headphones on and sample their recommendations for new stuff, while enjoying a large iced caramel mocha with whipped cream. Back in Blighty, imagine my excitement when Borders opened up in London. Then imagine my disappointment when it turned out to be a crappy, ersatz version of what I'd enjoyed across the pond. I think Borders UK is now either bust or on the skids, and I can't say I'm surprised.
