The Tubes - Remote Control

When this band were getting banned from venues in the late '70's for god knows what for, in all the furore and hype what got overlooked was that they were a bloody brilliant band, this being their masterpiece IMHO.

DIB,

Great band with a tremendous sense of humour Smile

I have always had a soft spot for TCBP, simply because it was the first Tubes album I heard. Great memories of 1982 on my first cricket tour (Weston-Super-Mare) and heard it on (cassette) Cool
From the opening bars of Talk To Ya Later & the hilarious Attack Of The Fifty Foot Woman , I was hooked.

BTW, Prairie Prince still drums on tour with the genius that is Todd Rundgren.

The Sensational Alex Harvey Band - The Impossible Dream

When I first went to see SAHB at Manchester's Free Trade Hall as I was coming out a guy in front was saying that "the band were OK but they'll never get anywhere with that singer" Confused

I saw Johnny Winter at The Bath Festival of Blues and Progressive Music held at the Bath and West Showground in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, England on 27–28 June 1970. A great line up with most of the key bands around at the time; wiki background

At a time when my elder brother and i were teenagers and still living with parents, my brother had Rick Wakeman's White Rock LP.
We thought it was quite cool... but my Dad said it was "dentist's drill music"!

Weird man2 on vinyl:-

I now know why I've only played it once. I guess I'm not intellectual enough, or could it be that it's a load out of tune, head up his arse tripe?

The Rolling Stones - A Bigger Bang.

A good album with Jagger giving it his all. I have the original 2005 release which could have been much better in terms of sound quality. This was re-released (Original recording remastered) in 2009. Anyone able to comment on the latest effort?

TIA.
