First play, 4 tracks in and liking the change to retro synth based sound. I saw the end of 1 hour special last month and thought Tom & the boys were on form. Might check out the tour in March if there are any tickets left.

Aah should have realised who you were. The name didn't trigger with me. Mind you that is usually because the Rhythm section are the unsung heroes.
Are there any plans to release Lions Mouth again Mike as I didn't realise it was out on cd until it was too late?[/QUOTE]
We are in a protracted and lengthy battle of wills with Warner Brothers as to ownership. When we've won, we can organise a re-release (probably on "Renascent")...
Thanks for listening.

Listening to the composer above who at the age of seven passed the entrance examination for piano at the Paris Conservatory, but was refused admission because he was believed to be too young. He is..?

Because its brilliant, but also because it - and in general he - gets undeservedly rare mentions in threads like this, IMO... if it interests anyone

Very good, Doug.
I was listening to:

Albert Guinovart, the Spanish composer/pianist playing the only three piano sonatas (which survived complete) and L'automne (Valse), all early works by Albeniz influenced by Chopin.
Regards,
Haim

Haim - just a lucky guess. For some reason, I thought it might be a choice between Georges Bizet and Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns. Then Isaac Albéniz popped up in my head so I took a chance.
Interesting looking album (the Sonatas).
I've been very busy listening to so much new music lately and couldn't be happier! A highlight during Christmas was when I listened with my son to Schumann's, Kinderszenen & Davidsbündlertänze repeatedly while helping him put together his first electric train set. Real "Scenes from Childhood" I guess. It doesn't get any better than that.....
Currently, Schumann's, Kinderszenen & Davidsbündlertänze performed on a 1903 Steinway by Ito Ema (MA Recordings)

I couldn't think of a better music for putting an electric train set together.
