Had this album for a while and when I went to see her in concert a few weeks ago I realized that the US version had a few different tracks on . So I ordered it and it has just arrived .

First day home, and now my favourite album of the moment. This is just beautiful. The system is going to get a good workout today, with a certain theme tonight................ Winker

Bits and pieces from these two, I'm a sucker for female vocals.

One gorgeous lady.

I don't know that Yes album Steve, well recorded, but what's the content like?
AMG seem a bit 50-50 with it, 3 stars.

I guess it sort of depends just how much you like Yes - they can be a bit 'marmite' to some tastes.

More in keeping with 'Going for the One' perhaps than some of their other later output, and a couple of outstanding tracks - I just love 9 voices, & 'If only you knew' is a bit of a Yes type anthem.
Well worth a listen on Spotify if your a fan.
I think it works well as an album - but then I think Close to the Edge is sublime..

Gothic rock perhaps??

Playing this loud. It's a great album, and I've always loved Pat Kane's vocals.

The Southern Death Cult. Introduced to me by a certain John Peel back in the day. Lead singer Ian Astbury is from my home town, as is John Peel (Ravenscroft, also the name of my "local") himself.

Just catching up, I played this on the way home yesterday - I always do. I think it's a psychological thing, it means I'm on the way back and I'm driving along with a big smile on my face. Playing "air drums" is probably not a great idea though.

Another that always gets played as well........

Thanks Mark, will take a look at that.
The late great John Peel started me on what was then, and to date my longest musical quest (electronic music), when he came in and said- I can't be bothered to do much tonight so here's Tangerine Dreams latest - Rubycon - and played the entire album (both sides back then). I was hooked.

There is nothing more that can be said about the man, a true legend and gentleman IMO. I hardly ever missed a show - perhaps it's an age thing but to me there is nothing quite like it now. Pity he had no taste when it came to football teams. Big Grin
