Mark

A delightful term of endearment shared with me by a scouce mate from uni as I had my first trip across the Mersey. He had to explain it to the soft southern jessey with him!

If there was such a thing as a "Six Star" review then this would get it. Soul perfection.

From the back cover... These tracks were written and recorded on an analogue 8 track reel to reel machine during 1988-89. For release on LP these tapes were cleaned up, remixed, and new vocal takes recorded. The exceptions are 'Curtain Dream' and 'Night Sky Sweet Earth' which are newer versions recorded in 1999.

Produced by Steven Wilson at no man's land 1988-1989 new vocal takes and remix 1999 remastered 2004.

An excellent album to buy for £10.

AMG seem a bit 50-50 with it, 3 stars.

I guess it sort of depends just how much you like Yes - they can be a bit 'marmite' to some tastes.

More in keeping with 'Going for the One' perhaps than some of their other later output, and a couple of outstanding tracks - I just love 9 voices, & 'If only you knew' is a bit of a Yes type anthem.
Well worth a listen on Spotify if your a fan.
I think it works well as an album - but then I think Close to the Edge is sublime..

Sounds good enough to me, I'll investigate.

Midlake's The Courage of Others. Just a few tracks in on first playing, feels really good.

Not quite as good as Fink, but not bad.
