Adrian, I'll buy it based solely on your enthusiasm Smile

Just back from a couple of fine gigs at Kings Place in London. Gianluigi Trovesi and Gianni Coscia were wonderfully engaging, and very funny - aided by a long suffering, not unattractive, translator called Maria, who recounted their stories to the audience between songs. Both are evidently master musicians, but there is a lovely lightness of touch, and modesty to what they do.

Then, on Friday night, Louis Sclavis Quintet - a starker contrast you could not imagine! Fierce, cerebral, challenging, but utterly exhilerating. Special mentions to the drummer, who hit the cr*p out of his kit, and the guitarist, who did some great things with feedback on a couple of numbers. Shame you couldn't make it Winker

What's in a name.... : always psychedelic music of this band.

Lastfm writes: Jackie-O Motherfucker (or JOMF) is an American experimental rock group that formed in Portland, Oregon in 1994.
Jackie-O Motherfucker began as a duo consisting of multi-instrumentalist Tom Greenwood and saxophonist Nester Bucket. The group now has more than twenty rotating members drawn from the U.S. experimental scene. As of 2006, the core of the group is founding member Greenwood.

JOHN DEAR MOWING CLUB : Melleville (2010)
This is music of the dutch Melle de Boer: poet, painter, singer/songwriter, with a veritable speech disorder. He makes remarkable funny music.
His artist-friendship with manic-depressive songwriter genius Daniel Johnston is understandable: there are a lot of similarities in their music. See Mowingclub.com

Bought in Strasbourg about 15 years ago, and brings back great memories. Haven't listened in ages. Never did get as good at slide as I planned to.
