Listening to Adelhard Roidnger - Schattseite on ECM snap, crackle and i'm stuck in a rut vinyl. Hopefully one day this excellent music will get the release it deserves on super silent shiny silver plastic. Great album.

I thought the Superline had minimised the Kellogs effect?

Well it is better but when vinyl has crackle it has crackle - and this one has the additional feature of getting stuck two thirds of the way through side one. I will always prefer the silver....

I rounded off my jazz-themed jaunt to London with a trip to Ray's Records, where I bought 8 CDs (at one point I had more than double that in my pile). First up is this:

Always a pleasure to hear more from Giuffre/Bley/Swallow.

It's the jazz/classical bit of Foyles bookshop - thought you already knew about it. I try to dive in whenever I'm in London, as there aren't many good old-fashioned bricks & mortar music shops left.
