Id forgotten how short that Pete Yorn & Scarlett Johansson album is, until this just came on after it in my iTunes:

Featuring the only-just-mentioned Victoria Bergsman (Taken By Trees), I had to look up the cool video and watch that for the first time in a while. Get ready to whistle, you might know this one even if you think you don't.

Yes - clarinet, accordion and jew's harp/harmonica/piano trio is certainly interesting. It was a punt based on the presence of Matinier, but I am not disappointed. Not sure about the new Katche, as I feel owning one of his albums is probably enough for me, but I'd be interested in your thoughts on the Motian CD.

The Manu, I already know, is probably going to be one of my most played albums of the year - it is on it's fourth play so far this evening. Very melodic, atmospheric, easy but high quality. It is an album Mrs L can enjoy.

Motian on first listen was very appealing. Very laid back and will soon be up for a second listen to get a better opinion on it.

Apparently Knopfler once asked him to join Dire Straits. He said no.
