It's interesting the economics of CD at the moment. Whilst you can get loads of cheappies, the album I played earlier by Palle Danielsson probably sold about 3 copies in the UK and is now out of print. Going on amazon, if anybody really wants to buy it for £123.05 New and £84.96 Used.

Nah, it's mostly new clean vinyl - it is just a flawed format Big Grin

Even new vinyl can benefit from a clean.

From HDX - without snap, crackle and pop Smile

Underworld 'Bootleg Babies' (1999, bootleg, RTSR compilation, originally linked from the official Underworld website).
Possibly my favourite Underworld album.

Hue & Cry - Jazz Not Jazz. Great band, always liked Pat Kane's vocals.

Munch, yes I do, as recommended by JWM. I need to get the newest one but other buys keep getting in the way.

If you like the male vocalist on that, it is Jose Gonzalez who has a couple nice cd's out I bought after James' recommends, as well.

A belated Happy New Year, Stu.

The Mozart from this. Violin Concertos 1, 2, and 3.

Always love these imaginative titles.

That is a dig at an unnamed poster who once related that use of high-end gear to listen to adult chart-topping female vocalists was "despicable". He was certainly entitled to his opinion (and taste in music), but the words paint with a rather broad brush, which often includes collateral damage.

Sorry, I am in one of those moods, I should turn-off the computer.

It is a great album if you like female pop.

As high end as possible should be used to listen to what a fellow pleases surely?

Anyway i've not heard of this girl so i'm going to have a listen because she looks cute and i'm an unabashed sexist pigdogmonster.

Mandy is more well-known as an American actress, but she has the voice, choses excellent people to work with, and is completely unpretentious about the whole thing. She married Ryan Adams last year so any off-spring should continue quality music in the future. Her previous album "Wild Hope" is also good if you like this sort of thing.

I will close my evening with an appropriate title. My thanks to Naim and everyone here for making this place a nice place to spend time.
