New release from the up and coming Brit jazzers Curios. Tom Cawley, the pianist did an outstanding job for Sir Peter Gabriel last night at the O2, so Sir Peter in return was promoting the CD on the merchandise stands.

Jeff, good morning.

I am finally catching up with you. I ordered Stern's Schumann disc which will arrive towards the end of the week.

I think it is a good album but it does require some work and the right atmosphere. I certainly prefer it to some of his other releases.

Hi Haim

I have just placed that in the player before I saw your note. As you know, I know little comparatively about classical music. But there is something about her playing that spellbinds me in the music.

I particularly like the two Chopin discs she recently released, which I will be playing this morning as well. Of the solo Chopin it will be my third listen, the first time I listened I was intrigued by the tempo she chose. I had some Chopin on vinyl many years ago and I don't remember it being played quite like this. And the Chopin duo disc with cello is just gorgeous imho.

I hope you are well, Haim. Enjoy your Sunday.

regards
