Jeff,
Do you have this album? ie: Zero7 "The Garden"
Munch, yes I do, as recommended by JWM. I need to get the newest one but other buys keep getting in the way.
If you like the male vocalist on that, it is Jose Gonzalez who has a couple nice cd's out I bought after James' recommends, as well.
A belated Happy New Year, Stu.

don't fool with the cool![]()
The new one is alright not as good as there others though.
They keep changing the line up.
James/JWM went to see the new one live in concert a few months back. Not good was his thoughts on it.
Stu
In principle, having some changes/guests could keep things musically fresh or interesting ... or lose the spark. It depends on who's staying, who goes and who comes. The only constant seem to be Sam and Henry themselves and a.n.other musician whose name I don't know.
I have seen Zero7 three times - Original line-up of the first two albums, Tina Dico, Sia, the other girl (sorry can't remember name) and Mosez in a big gig at Cambridge Corn Exchange, simply phenomenol. Sia/Jose in the third album line-up at UEA Norwich, a far more intimate gig, but also brilliant. And most recently the almost totally new line-up again at UEA Norwich.
The album to listen to as a CD is overall average with some good highlights. Certainly worth having if one is a Zero7 fan. But the last gig is, I'm afraid, one that I have to count amongst the worst I have ever been to. No confidence or stage presence, poor playing, virtually inaudible. Had I been a record producer going to look at a prospective label band, they certainly wouldn't have clinched the deal.
Conclusion. Sam and Henry have an interesting project in Zero7. They have come up with some great music. But the band's strength is in the up-front vocalists, not the backroom boys, and they've said goodbye to their best.
Yours, rather sadly,
James

A great 3rd album from these NZ superstars. I'd like to think that slowly their musicianship is getting them some international recognition.
Cheers
