Inspired by one of the greatest minds to post on a music forum and a great guy with taste
to boot
Gordon, Peekaboo used to be one of the top tracks that was played at a club I use to frequent in the late 80's so this album gives me really great memories of people freaking out to it.

I wish that a few current music producers would listen to the production values on this album...

Indeed my friend. Scott is one of the very few artists that when I don't get his music, I suspect that the problem is me and not him. i often think that he is so ahead of his time and I am so unable to understand his vision.

Gordon, I suspect its more about the final mastering that's the problem.
Rhapsody is just getting under way and what an apt title as it sends shivers up my spine, fabulous.

Yes indeed! I watched the Synth Britannia doc on BBC4 last week, and was mildly irritated Simple Minds didn't warrant a mention for Sister Feelings Call + Sons and Fascinations. No mention of the Associates "Sulk" album either (now, there's a one off!). It was as if synth pop didn't exist North of the border.

Simple Minds were probably the best at dark Synth based music in the early days. Always thought of trying out the Associates, I have one 12" so shall check out that album, thanks Nigel.
