I agree with you. Get over the death vocals (and after a while you get to like them anyway) and underneath it you will find some wonderful music making.

Funnily enough, I am currently playing Blackwater Park on the ipod. Great soothing music to fall to sleep to! They are playing the complete Blackwater Park at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday. I might be tempted to go...

"Dirge for November" is my favourite Opeth song. I'd be tempted to hear them live but of course I'm living quite far away from the Royal Alber Hall!

Great track - I also love Harvest and Drapery Falls. Another plus for this album was that it was produced by Steve Wilson.
