Russian music and literature (Isaac Babel's four pages long "My First Goose" story) are dominating the morning.

Haim,

I can't disagree, although I'm only listening to the redbook layer. Smile
All those Reference Recordings sound great and I would guess many are right down your alley musically.

Cheers ... Oliver

Yes and no. The RR discs always had an excellent sound but the choice of their recorded musicians was not always to my liking. I have not bought any RR in the last ten years so I am not familiar with their latest production. My favorite classical recordings of Prof Johnson are Vivaldi for Diverse Instruments and Rameau's harpsichord music.

Let me go through my collection, I'm pretty sure that is quite a bit of chamber music too, will see if I can find a recommendation for you. Smile
