Seemed ballad-heavy at first, but it livens up as it goes along.

Now, my third jazz CD purchase yesterday:

I like the sound of it so far.

Oh my G-d, talk about six degrees of seperation (again)...I have just discovered that Foucault recorded a (very good) cover of the superb John Prine song 'Speed of the sound of loneliness' which is one of my favorite live tracks by the wonderful Nanci Griffith...circles in circles.

Pop over to youtube Gordon and have a look at his videos. Great artist.

Here's a link to an acosutic version of Cold Satellite. Think the album which it comes from is not out till later this year.

Thanks I will. Let me assure you that I'm sold on the guy. Anyone who records an album of John Prine songs is ok in my book.. Winker

It's 1981. Steven Spielberg releases Raiders of the Lost Ark, Ricky Villa scores that goal, and I come second in the sack race.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Germany, the future is written...

It's more fun to compute.

In the same way that only true friends can truly betray you, only personnal anticipation can disappoint only you and I expected great things from one of my childhood heros.

The fourth time Meatloaf has attempted to record an album without Jim Steinman is just as bad as the others. Why break up a good partnership? Robbie bungled it with Guy Chambers, Elton has rarely worked without Berbe Taupin.

Such a shame to see a musical giant reduced to this crap.

The last of yesterday's CD purchases - before I settle down with my Twin Peaks DVDs.

Pop over to www.coldsatellite.com and listen to a track of Jeffrey Foucaults current project. First time he has gone almost all eclectric.

Brilliant track

Thanks for the tip, Ewen.

And I can second the recommend on S Baker "Mercy", the only one I have so far. Noticed SB has a new/recent release out as well.

released April 16 in US.

Goldheart Assembly

As recommended at the Coldplay site - only for those who like to live on the edge Smile
Actually it is very enjoyable, but you won't find anything "new" here. Still, a pleasant way to spend 50 minutes (and I like the cover).

I need to restore my faith in music after the Meatloaf fiasco...
