I saw her at the Basement Jazz club in Sydney. It is a very small intimate club. She is as shy as a mouse and has little stage prescence. Her voice is not as good as on record either. However, in a strange way we did quite enjoy the show. That is quite a while ago now so maybe she has a little more confidence now. This is what I said at the time under my old forum name. I would not rush to see her again.

Gustavo Santaolalla: Ronroco

What a great album, resolving moslty around the sound of the charango. Some tracks appeared later in the Babel soundtrack, which I still find breathtaking today. Strongly and warmly recommendedSmile

Haim, welcome to the club! I'm sure this incredible crowd really only amounts to 3 or 4 of us strong Smile

I really have always enjoyed the Beethoven on this recording. It's just so full of life and nicely recorded too. I cannot listen to the Choral Fantasy on a quite volume. I also don't mind the Pärt.

Let us know what you think?

Ewemon:

Good Coltrane album. One of his numerous underrated 'Prestige' recordings.

Two new purchases today. Like the Feist album best.
