Stefan & Doug, the inCREDOble guys,

After listening twice to the album I would rate it 75% ***** and 25% *. The most pleasant surprise for me was John Corigliano's Fantasia on an ostinato for solo piano. This unfamiliar music charmed me from the first listen with its flow and delicacy. Both Beethoven pieces are excellent while I still clearly prefer the Sonata no 17. Unfortunately, the CREDO which the disc is named after did not sit well with me and I found myself irritated and anxious for the the music to be over. I am going to transfer the music to my iTunes on the Mac and skip the Part part (I like that) altogether. Helene Grimaud's playing is outstanding.

Regards,

Haim

1st play..quirky little album that may not win any awards but I enjoyed, partly because each track reminds me of another artist/track..not least of which The Carpenters and The Who's magnificant track 'Blue Eyes'.. Cool

Lots of Midlake all over this. I bought it and need to get to know it a bit better. Getting great reviews everywhere.
