Same here!

Still discovering music I have had for "ages"...
Hence: so much music and so little time.

But then again: you showed your walls of media and I cannot imaging you heard every single one of them completely. Did you?

Such a great album, Bowie and Fripp both at their best. Also following it with 'Tin Drum', another great, and slightly Fripp related album.

As for those playing Saga, yikes! I have a couple of Saga albums mostly for nostalgia's sake, but they are an interesting choice to say the least. The first track on 'Silent Knight' is still very catchy though.

Almost all of it at least once, but some don't get played in years.

A JS Bach feast! All 48 Preludes and Fugues known as the Well Tempered Klavier - Walcha on a splendid Ammer harpsichord [on EMI], followed by Youtube renditions of Telstar from the Tornadoes and Las vegas, which some may remember as the theme tune for Johny Morris's Animal Magic!

ATB from George

PS: Just of to hunt for the ITN News theme in Youtube!

OK so that did not work!

So instead I have these: Hollywood Quartet & Alvin Dinkin, Kurt Reher

... playing: Schoenberg: Verklärte Nacht, Op. 4

... on the old Capital recording which couples the work wonderfully with Schubert's C Major String Quintet!

Still availale on Testament nearly sixty years on! Schoenberg wrote the fascinating [and presumably authoritative] sleeve note!

R Strauss, Metamorphosen

Clemens Krauss, Bamberg Orchestra

A very rare issue on Amadeo CD of a radio tape, which more than merely preserves one of the master conductor's vision of his friend's music. This is the only Richard Strauss that I can enjoy, even including the Four Last Songs as a whole though Flagstad made a wonderful radio tape in Oslo with an uncredited pianist rather than an orchestra in accompniment of Abendroth. It catches something very deep in the music ... like Krauss's vision of Metamorphosen.

Good night all, from George

JD has written great songs since the 70s, I saw this at Amoeba on vinyl, 2 LPs of wonderful relaxing music from a great singer songwriter. Sounds like a nawlins backing band, with a sax and trumpet player in the mix.
