I see 'noodling' is back on the boards again. Which of its multiple meanings are we referring to this time?

Noodling:-

Just the pointless sometimes long and usually tuneless solos, this applies to the rock world as well as jazz BTW. It just seems so much worse to me,on a sax or trumpet.

Catching catfish by hand sounds like good fun too.

....and now on CD:-

Voltaire, I used to be a big Casiopea fan in my teens. Is this album in a similar vein to their previous works?

Broadly speaking I would say that it is in a similiar vein (if perhaps more fusion jazz) as the middle of the Casiopea back catalouge if that makes sense? I have to confess that I haven't listened to any Casiopea for years, in fact I think I threw all my technics chrome tapes of Casiopea in the trash!

A limited-edition box set almost all of Casiopea's Albums called "Legend of Casiopea" has been released on May 27, 2009 in Japan. It features 2 Albums that were never released as a CD, the first of which is called "Cuts", and the 2nd of which is called "Air-Skip".

There is a gold plated disc which the record company sells over here that contains all their 'Greatest Hits'.

Where can you get the box set from?

Sunhouse performing "Monkey Dead" here, on the french TV show "Nulle Part Ailleurs" in 1997.

Members of the band were Gavin Clark (vocals guitar), Rob Brooks (bass), Paul Bacon (slide guitar, harmonica and rhythm guitar) and Dom Dillon (drums).

Again in the car this morning:

In my opinion, Manhattan Transfer's strongest album since the 80s. Neither as superb as 'Bodies and Soul', nor 'Vocalese', but nonetheless, still very very good. Never thought it would be possible to sing Chick Corea, but they've somehow managed to pull it off with aplomb.

After dinner, some light Malay pop:

She's a Malaysian singer who has acted in many Yasmin Ahmad films (Yasmin is a local film maker who has won awards at many film festivals around the world.) The title of the album is 'Teman' which mean 'Friend' or 'Companion' depending on the context the word is used. Amazingly, one of the singles is on sale on a UK website named after a large South American river.

Adibah is the one in yellow on the left.
