Have found it difficult to listen tonight - lack of concentration and a little musical boredom. I think this is the recording that will bring me back on track so I am going to indulge in this wonderful boxset for the rest of the evening.

"An oasis within a dictatorship, the Scriabin Museum often invited Sofronitsky to play on the composer's piano before a select audience. These elements became an act of communion with the music and spirit of a father-in-law he never met nor heard. Listeners who knew Scriabin's playing considered Sofronitsky to be his heir".
