I am going to behave myself. After all, it is Mother's Day here today. Have a good one, Doug and Jeff.

Meaning me ? If so, thank you, Haim, and back at you.
Bittersweet, here, as my mother was the last of our parents (for wife Heidi and I) to pass, and that was 25 years ago this May. But the day always brings fond memories, as well.
best regards

Happened to me a while back with a musical title I wanted to post. Forgot the trigger word but the post showed up a few minutes later.

Christophe, how do you like the Chopin & Beethoven recordings of Anne Queffélec?
For sentimental reasons, the hunt for me to find and order these recordings begins right now. I have forever locked in my mind the sound of Anne Queffélec playing Chopin. In 1972 or 1973, one of the first LP's I ever bought was her playing the Scherzi and Impromtus. The music and the soundscape still haunts me to this day. It opened up a better world I didn't knew existed and it was her recording that really symbolizes the early beginning starting point that has led me on a journey to where I am today. I still get goosebumps just thinking of that time and how lucky I was to find such a connection.
Thanks for posting this and making my day!
Regards,
Doug
Hello Doug,
This album of Anne Queffélec is an overview of the life of Chopin. Am a big fan of Quéffelec. She is extremely sensitive and delicate. This album is the one you wish to listen with your kids as an introduction to classical music.
Here is a link (in french) of an interview of Anne Q. about this album.

First listen. Trying to set aside my irritation as the small plastic prongs that hold the CD in its case are all broken - grrr!

My dad certainly was. Am playing a little more classic than usual this week as I have my mom & dad in charge of the program.

I hate when that happens but mine did not come as a digipak, should just be a matter of replacing the tray?

Thanks for that Christophe! I've watched it twice now, didn't understand a word but when I see the score and hear her play I forget about that just for the moment. Although, I'd be very interested to understand what she is saying. I'll try to find someone here who can interpret this for me this week.
