I was looking at Steven Wilson stuff on YT and found his "Cover Version III" and also found this early incarnation by Bob & the boys here...

The Cure : A Forest 1979 (pre-version)

Live Paris, Bataclan, France, 1979/12/17.

This version of A Forest, without the well-known lyrics.
This comes from the TV show "Chorus" with Antoine De Caunes (later in Rapido).

Version de A Forest sans les paroles définitives. Emission diffusée dans "Chorus", présenté par Antoine De Caunes...et Jacky qu'on retrouvera ensuite dans Platine 45, le 17 décembre 79 au Bataclan.

I only have the first album on vinyl and suspect I have missed out on a lot material
