Some nice music.

Berlin - Love Life

A band I avoided for years on the strength of the vomit-inducing Take My Breath Away. Strangely, almost everything else I could find of theirs was rather good.

Chatham County Line - Route 23

Jeff, may I recomend '12 songs'?

'Home before Dark' is excellent but as a loyal ND fan I can safely say that '12 songs' rates among his best albums ever. Not as good as 'Hot August Night'...but then, what is? Big Grin

My most played ECM at the moment.

I think you just did ! and thank you, I will try to hear it.

Did I ever tell you the story of him playing at my college back in 1968, just him and an acoustic guitar and 800 or so students/audience. I probably have ...... it was sublime.

I was quite lucky, the small private college I attended arranged a musical program once each quarter, ie fall, winter and spring, funded from our tuition so we attended "free". So twelve total in my four years there.

The ones I can still remember were Dionne Warwick, Neil Diamond, The Sandpipers, The Four Seasons (w/Franki Valli), Glenn Yarborough, The Lettermen, Paul Butterfield Blues Band and Chicago.

Yes now that I can!

My next Oz choice was going to be INXS.

I knew it. But you played Nick Cave instead.

Does it have "Twilight Alehouse" on it? One of my favourite Genesis tracks. I wish it had been added to a remastered SEBTP. I have to make do with a slighty scratchy 45.

Steve, Twilight Alehouse is on the 1970-1975 Box Set along with Happy The Man and some other goodies. It's a good box and you get quite a few extras on the DVD's which come with the albums. Details here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genesis_1970–1975

Stu,

Sadly no. I did see them on the "Animals" tour (Wembley Arena) and much later on the "Delicate Sound Of Thunder" one at Wembley Stadium.

For some reason I always end up playing side 2 first. "The Gold Bug" has become the de facto test track for new gear, tweaks, cable dressing, running the hoover round, etc.
