I know.
I am a helplessly slow listener (and don't mean to compete with some mates here that manage to listen to 15-20 CD's per evening), but this one took me really long - just because I stopped and resumed when I felt my concentration or appreciation went down. Worth while trip which I enjoyed, tremendously, over the last almost two weeks. This must be one of the most beatiful and tuneful releases of the last months - if not years to me. Beautiful. A real companion.
cheers

How is this album Gordon, I love her vocals as part of Lamb.
Dean..
In a word Dean..'ummm'.
I hate to be wishywashy in my reply but recently I have come to realise that wether or not people (not you but since the forum has a wider readership) like an album has a lot more to do with expectations and anticipations than actual content. In other words 'What are you expecting?'.
I like the album, I can easily see it finding it's way into my 'What are you listening to..' thread.
Is it a remarkable addition to the musical genre..? Probably not and critics will not have to look hard to find fault but, as I say, I enjoyed it and will again.
Sorry if that doesn't help matey but it's not quite black and white.
Gordon
Thats OK mate I usually make my own mind with albums but our tastes do cross in certain areas so I thought I'd ask, I'll try a grab a listen somewhere.

Early 70's classic album, still sounds as fresh today as it did back then. Great cover too.
.
Isn't it the "other" McCartney in the picture? Or was that just a rumour?
I have this on a home recorded cassette from eons ago. Is it available on silver does anyone know?
Thanks
steve

You can get it on CD, along with all the rest of their output. "Friends,Friends,Friends" being a particularly fine album also.
Lead singer and classical guitarist Howard Werth was lined up to replace Jim Morrison at the time, or so legend has it. Fantastic musicians one and all, Audience.

Mullova and Anderszewski in amazingly controlled and intense performances of Brahms' violin sonatas.
Cheers,

It is sitting here on the sofa next to me but I am listening to Brahms. No feedback yet - tomorrow.

Just played side 1 of this, as yet, not much played album. Don't know why it's not been played, but i've missed out on some great tunes. Next sitting will be 'lights out' and loud!

Nothing exciting at the Blue Note this week, I might pay the Village Vanguard a visit.
