For some reason I always end up playing side 2 first. "The Gold Bug" has become the de facto test track for new gear, tweaks, cable dressing, running the hoover round, etc.
Dustman, a classic album and probably the best AP Project album. Think I will spin later tonight.

CD7 of this behemoth of a box set. I seem to be averaging around one CD a day, playing each one all the way through at least twice. I will post some "thoughts" in due course, but for now, I'll just say that this is hugely enjoyable music!
Droo,
You could always introduce some fresh breath to the Scarlattis with the spectacular accordion playing of Teodoro Anzelluti:![]()

Yes that one's still on my radar. I expect I'll include in a bulk order from jpc in the next couple of months. Meanwhile I'm being distracted by all the praise heaped on Edna Stern in the "Pianists..." thread. Her CD of piano transcriptions of the BWV 1004 Chaconne is very tempting.
Cheers

Playlist for tonight as I am testing VortexBox on a PC. I read about it in de Distributed Audio section. Linux music server Thread
I do like this album of Joni a lot
Still I'm trying to figure out what VortexBox does with badly scratched CD's. It's having a go at "Friday Night In San Francisco" by Al, John and Paco which unfortunately is really messed up... (I mean the surface of the disc!)

I bought it at the same time as the XX disc. I much prefer the Fever Ray
