Doug,
Since you are not posting any music tonight, I am presuming that you are the one focusing on the dancers and the stars.
I took the plunge yesterday and ordered your most recent Beethoven's piano trios.

....another commercial so I just have time to check what's going on
Good stuff Haim. As luck would have it disc one is playing for the second time this evening here. I've been playing this regularly every evening or at worst sometimes every second evening. (Hopefully gearing up to learn a new Beethoven Trio soon!!)
Gotta run, commercials over

The brass does not have the feel of his 50's and 60's players, a bit too frantic and clever (including Wynton, never liked him), but bass and piano and the man himself are on top form.

Hi Nic,
Guess it's unlikely he will make it to NZ, but here's hoping.
This album has inspired me to try & get hold of his previous releases. Any standouts you'd recommend?
Cheers

Flettster,
I think I have all bar one of his records, and they are all good, but if I were to suggest the most obvious follow ups to Truelove's Gutter, they would be the two previous recordings to that.
