Dean...

I've got it - it has never really had any airtime though. I've also got Cosmic Game and Versions.

This band/producers are the closest I get to "World Music" they can do no wrong in my book, they are masters of fusing ethnic sounds into a modern urban musical style without going too ethnic, I love 'em. Also got Cosmic Game on 45rpm quadruple vinyl Smile.

Sunhouse - Crazy On The Weekend

This is the only CD I have Two copies of, due to the paranoia of losing/damaging the First copy. One of the best debut albums in my possesion, taking in Folk/Pop/Rock tunes, consumate musicianship and the fabulous voice of Gavin Clark. Five star opinions here. If you like dynamics and emotion in music, then this is for you, albeit an expensive purchase these days.

The good news here , is that after last years final Clayhill performance, Gavin has rested and currently working with UNKLE and releasing a solo album this autumn.

Gavin's MySpace is back online again, maintained by a fan.

I have also found an interesting 2007 interview here, with Gavin by Jude Calvert-Toulmin after seeing some Shane Meadows films.

Jazz on 3.

Jez Nelson presents a concert by Food, recorded at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. British saxophonist Iain Ballamy and Norwegian percussionist Thomas Stronen create delicate and detailed ambient soundscapes that bring together a lyrical approach to jazz with elements of folk and atmospheric electronics. For this concert they're joined by Austrian guitarist Christian Fennesz, who also features on Food's latest album: Quiet Inlet. This set includes a new work by Thomas Stronen that was commissioned by the Cheltenham Jazz Festival.

Presenter: Jez Nelson
Producer: Joby Waldman & Peggy Sutton.
