This album has aged extremely well IMHO. I have my original issue from Warner France - you can crank it up all the way, no compression. Produced by Rick Rubin. Smile

Tonight I shall surrender myself to this 5 LP box set bought from Oxfam for peanuts...

When I started my journey into classical music a few months ago by buying a few dozen second hand DG records I never expected it to lead me to Wagner!

Of course I don't understand or appreciate 99% of his music yet and much of it is incomprehensible to me, but that doesn't matter to me; I have found music that appeals to me emotionally and that my friends is all I have ever asked for.

PS-Jazz is and always will be my first love.. Winker

A few plays in now and I have to say this is the most adventurous no-man release in their history. A great production as usual from Steven, with Tim's voice captured so well in the 'lets make music our way' atmosphere of 1996.

I love Wagner, the combination of music and lyriks is very deep and emotional ... but maybe you have to be a native speaker.

A few weeks ago I went through the whole Ring. If the above captures you this would be a nice summer assignment. Winker
