Perhaps I wasn't in the right mood but I found this decidedly bland, despite her vocal strength. There wasn't one track that jumped out at me. Maybe that's the point - and I'm missing it?

Playing a lot of Jon Cleary in the car today, especially Mo Hippa (Live):



Another supremely gifted New Orleans musician. He is clearly influenced by old school 'boogie-woogie' and stride piano styles, the blues and folk. However, the music sounds so fresh and modern because of the huge doses of funk that he adds to his playing. The songs ebb and flow effortlessly between the various styles. His singing is quite good as well, but nowhere as fantastic as his command of the ivories.
