Hi Oliver, is that your introduction to Ani (I don't remember seeing you post her before)? I have all her studio albums and official bootlegs (32 in total!) so there is lots more to choose from. May I recommend "Canon" which is basically a double-CD compilation and would give you an idea of some of the other material she has produced. Others I particularly like are "Out Of Range", "Not A Pretty Girl" and her last album "Red Letter Year".

I have only this album of hers and have it for some time, was prompted by you or Gordon to play it for the first time in a while.
Let me try 'Red Letter Year' next, will report back.

The best Don van Vliet album.

Recorded in a hotel room, some great tunes here. Open road is classic bryan adams rock.

On CD & Vinyl by probably the most unproductive band ever. At your next demo though, take some Blue Nile with you. If the kit can convey the emotion in Paul Buchanan's voice, that box is ticked

Deep joy is a Blue Nile concert -> Happiness, Saturday Night.
When I saw the band @ Somerset House in 2008, I'm sure I saw a sign indicating a Concert recording. I hope this was true and it gets released. Not sure it will beat the next album though

On the way back from KL late at night, just about midnight, after Marvin Gaye's 'What's Going On':
For those who dig bass guitars and double basses in a jazz fusion setting! Lots of what some forum members call 'noodling' in between the arranged music.

Sounds like a 'live' DVD might capture attention for longer

Thanks for posting this album. I just heard snippets of it on Amazon. Amazing! As tantalizing as 'Verse'.
