Toying with whether to go and see him later in the year, sounding pretty good so might give it a whirl.

EJ,

I have a couple of Alpha discs with Bruno Cocset, all of them are exceptional.

Regards,

Haim

Haim,

Thanks! Regarding the viola da gamba sonatas, I have a weak spot for Paolo Pandolfo, who brings grit and a rough edge that the music easily takes. But Cocset and his team definitely have the more interesting programming and benefit from uber-reference recording quality.

This early morning session has been dominated by: Dewa Budjana's 'Home'.

Indonesian guitar player with Metheny'esque' chops. Peter Erskine and Reggie Hamilton are playing on this album.

One of my all time fav albums. Jeff, one for you and Heidi. A great relaxation album.

Thanks, Ewen. Bought "Ports of Heart" and "Isle of View" this morning, will try to listen to them tonight. This is an artist I had not heard of previously. Thanks.

Jeff A

Two brilliant albums Jeff. Ports of the Heart contains the best version of It's All in the Game I have ever heard.

I was glad to be part of his fanbase that lobbied Sony to help get his master tapes copied as they were deteriorating and then get his albums released. But that's another story.
