First listen finished. I do not mind the playing but my only reservation (and a big one for me) is that this is a mono recording. By far not the worst I've ever heard. In fact it is actually pretty good considering but it still leaves me longing for a more realistic real piano sound.

This pair really play well together I think. Lots of energy and they listen to each other well. It is a live concert recording and the recording is just slightly above average.

Rarely does it get any better than this. An extremely satisfying recording - playing and recording alike.

For the obvious reason.

Have you tried 'Sketches of Spain', about as mellow as it gets.

I listened earlier, didn't do much for me. I guess I just don't have MD type ears.

Haim,
OK, I'm interested, I think? What's this one about?

Doug,

A delicious disc of a non classical accordion music. My number two favorite, right behind Stefan Hussong.

How is Sudbin's Haydn disc?

The rest of the evening.....

Haim,
I listened to a few clips of the Klucevsek and I think this will be my second Accordian CD!

As to the Yevgeny Sudbin, if you like Haydn and Sudbin you will not be disappointed. After one listen, I thought it was just a stellar album. I really liked it and now it will compete with all the other Sudbin albums I like for playing time.

It's got a bit of a 60's vibe going on & I like it.

Saw this man about 25 years back and couldn't stand it - sat at the bar and got smashed (nearly as smashed as he was in fact). Thought I'd give him another go - got this for about £5 on vinyl. Wow. This is amzing stuff.

...and the in-laws are up - they're from Liverpoll so it would be rude not to...
