On original vinyl:-

On of my favourite albums.

My copy is knackered but still rather enjoyable or is it that I'm easily pleased.

impressed with first track, during the second i'm well smitten...
in some ways it’s nicely reminiscent of Joel Grare style of purcussion

now on my wish list! : )

Hi Debs,

It is a special album, maintaining a good balance between musical delicacy and energetic playing. Markus Stockhausen's beautiful trumpet sound never tires me.

Hope that you are enjoying your weekend.

Regards,

Haim

Dinah Shore: Dinah,Yes Indeed!
'59 Release. Capitol Records. Original US mono pressing.
Her fist album after joining the Capitol Label backed by wonderful Nelson Riddle.

Doris Day with Andre Previn Trio: Duet
'62 Release. Columbia Records. Original 6 eye mono.
This is probably the first time I have heard Doris day singing standard jazz with a simple trio as a back drop.

Jeff,
One of the best albums from last year imo.
Still gets a lot of play here on cd and vinyl.

Agree completely. Sounds fresh every time I play it. Wishing for more from them in the future.

Listening to Perahia's account of the Schumann Fantasie. Pletnev is my benchmark for this unique work, but I am quite shocked by the recent arrest and accusations, and not sure if at this moment I can separate the man from the music.
