Jon Bon Jovi was easily the best rock singer on the planet in those early days.

A nice 60 cents find yesterday.

It's a great recording, but the reggae track is erm, rubbish?

Still sounds great after all these years, and reminds me of when I was a single man about town. I just googled her and found out she has the same birthday as me Smile

Now listening to

I had a check too - I don't think she has had a record deal for a few years now. Interesting voice. Really enjoyed listening to that LP today - well there's £5 very well spent Smile

The one i have now is a bit thicker but not much.
Stu

Not sure if it was that tour or a later one I saw them on Stu. Great band and one of the best paced sets I ever saw by any band. Only prop was a disco ball. The band gave me some tickets for the concert to give away free preferably to good looking women. Aah those were the days.

Sun Kil Moon (Mark Kozelek) 'Admiral Fell Promises'
Just arrived, and I know there are hardly any fans of 'Koz' on the forum, but I for one think he is the best songwriter around at the moment. Really looking forward to the gig at the Union Chapel in a couple of weeks time.
All the tracks are Mark on vocals and acoustic guitar, no band (well on the first 8 tracks anyway), very mellow, very good.

Review for the above from Uncut.co.uk

Three tracks preview from the Caldo Verde records website. 'Australian Winter' is my favourite of the three.

I do think the album showcases Kozelek's ability as a guitar player more than the harmonic singing of previous albums, it follows on from 'Blue Orchids' on 'April'.

Sun Kil Moon (Mark Kozelek) 'I'll Be There' free EP, with the above.
Lovely cover/tribute to Michael Jackson of 'I'll Be There' which when he played it on the tour last year just after Jackson's death he said he 'Wanted to do it before Mariah Carey came along and ruined it'.

She would, he didn't.
