Super idea, Oliver. Same here, now. (Found out, that I had ripped only first disc, in March 2009, so this is even giving me unheard KJQ music. Yummie…)

I seem to recall you were not a fan of this one. Hopefully you have now changed your mind. His best trio album IMHO Winker

I did have a listen to Herbie Hancock's new album on spotify. I don't know but an artist of his stature should be producing much better music than what I heard, IMHO. He got away with the approach with The Joni Letters and produced a lovely album. Maybe this new one will grow if I give it another listen but I am not so sure.

I guess it is all about moods, Adrian. Objective quality is a difficult thing… That applies to both the Jarrett Trio in Montreux and the Herbie CD. I liked the Montreux dics VERY much, today (last few tunes are playing, now). The "Imagine" disc is probably better when you don't think of Hancock being in the middle. Oh well. All subjective Winker

cheers

Hi,

This is the only WH we have, bought at Heidi's urging after she heard a song somewhere. I love it, but haven't found the disposable cash for another from him yet - the list is too long.

Do you have others of his you can comment on ?

regards
