To quote:
"This is the only recording of the orchestration of Albeniz's piano and guitar pieces. This record came out after the Blueback series. It was available for 15 years. This LP will probably cost you more than an average London or Decca, but it's well worth it. The Alto reissue is more desirable than the recent King Super Analogue, and it is still available."
On original back stuff in perfect condition, thanks to my father and his TEAC reel to reel deck.

This one is the closest in style to the new one and a bit more raw still - the other two which bookended Blackbird are a little lighter but still with a similar tone (although I don't have Carousel it is on Spotify, as are all of them) - Don't think you'd think any of them duff if you like his latest. They're all on Spotify so you cna listen first though
No Spotify in US, but thanks for the details. I will be getting more by him in the future.

Hip Hop done properly, Dabrye's dark and mean beats complimented by some great vocals.
Looks interesting.
So all the other hoppers and hippers get it wrong?

I played this late last night along with Blackwater Park. Great late night listening and really hit the spot.
I think Damnation could be Steve Wilson's finest moment (others will disagree)

A nice reminder of what I have not listened to in about a decade.

I don't really know enough of Steve Wilson's other output to declare if it is his finest but I will stand up and say that Damnation is a genuinely brilliant album which is often played in the wee hours at Chez Voltaire.

Just listened to snippets of this on Amazon. Very nice indeed. The only JT album that I have is this:

Very nice Jeff! Will have to put this on my wish list. There is a reviewer on Amazon who recommends the gold disc edition as being the ultimate version. Which edition have you got?

I am being a bit provocative. BUT it is one of my fave albums, especially track 2 with all the wonderful mellotron.

The first cassette that I had of this album was worn out within six months due to almost continuous play in my walkman. The second copy lasted a couple of years and I finally got a CD of it when I was in the UK. One of my favourite albums of all time. Arguably the best guitar solo ever on track 1. Those of conferred the title of 'God' on Clapton (great though he is), have obviously underrated the prowess of Pat Metheny.
