Stu,

Its on my favorite label so I've had it since it released and yes I've played it at various bakeoffs and the expression on peoples faces is priceless. Though I'm surprised that many don't get it, its a combination of classic Prog-Rock and modern Post-Rock and totally original with it.

OK, most of its catalogue is electronic and really a who's who of British electronic music but in the 00's its branched out into other areas so here's a list of great Warp artists, everybody sitting comfortably wallets at the ready Whizzkids about to suggest some great music Smile

Aphex Twin/Polygon Window/AFX - Techno/Ambient/Drill 'n' Bass

Nightmares On Wax - Trip Hop

LFO - Techno

Luke Vibert - Any Electronic style you can think of (only one Album and probably his most famous - Yoseph)

Drexciya - Techno

Maximo Park - Indie Rock

Sabres Of Paradise/Two Lone Swordsmen - Techno/Rockabilly

Boards Of Canada - Electronica

The Black Dog/Plaid - Techno

Red Snapper - Future Jazz

Autechre - Techno (but a whole lot more, proceed with caution)

Sqaurepusher - Breakcore/Drum 'n' Bass (same advice as Autechre)

Broadcast - Folktronica

Mira Calix - Electronica

Grizzly Bear - American Indie Rock

Jamie Liddle - Modern Soul

Gravenhurst - Indie Rock

!!! - Electroclash (similar to LCD Soundsystem)

Gang Gang Dance - Electroclash

Battles - Prog/Post Rock

These are all artists I feel make Warp Records a fantastically diverse and forward thinking British label.
