Jeff A this is one for you and you should listen to ALL his earlier discs.
Another great album from this guy. Don't think he has made one bad one yet.
Noted, thanks as always

Doug,
To your attention.
Noted. I'll take this as a positive recommendation? I don't believe I have any albums from this company.

Doug,
They are an excellent French label doing mostly classical and some world music. When you are in the mood I could recommend some of their discs. Todd from MA Recordings was for a while the distributer of Alpha in Japan.

Carolyn Hillyer and Nigel Shaw
A Strange and beautiful entanglement of soul filled melodies and songs,
drawn from Medieval, fairy and Ancient pagan worlds.
Carolyn vocals Nigel music.
Hi Debs,
May i ask where you got it from?
KR
Chris
i got it from the new-age witchy shop when shopping up Town a couple of years ago. I only went in for a pint of goats blood and a bottle of pickled bats wings but came out with this cd as well...
it's a bit 'wicca-man' in feel, and a nice downer if one's mood is not on for cheerful music, if you know what i mean

Mark it is a pity she won't release the album that came before this one entitled The Song that Sang When Rome Fell. It was recorded in one afternoon in Austin Texas with just her and guitar. I even emailed her about it but to no avail. I eventually managed to get a copy and it is a good album.

Hi Ewen,
Yes, I remember reading that she had done another album but I couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks for the introduction to Anais - it was your recommendation that got me started.

My black version arrived fifteen minutes ago and its grooves are already happily bouncing my stylus around. A bit warped but not enough to send it back.

On vinyl:-
Emmylou Harris - Thirteen, a little too country for my tastes , but her voice carries it.
For 10p very good VFM though.
