One of my favorite "new" discoveries these past couple of years, this one took a while after buying Fugazi first, its a more subtle and coherent album where Fugazi is more anthemic in style. Two fabulous albums by a talented band.

I'm appalled by the standards of literacy on this forum and from such professional people as well, I'm writing to my MP to complain, the dumbing down is shocking in an indefatigably excruciating manner.

Angry of South London..

PS: Thanks Oliver Smile

Glad I endured 5 years of Latin, otherwise I'd be running to the next dictionary now. Big Grin

No IT's Fleetwood Mac not Eponymous, and it can played on a PC too! Roll Eyes

Yes it is Fleetwood Mac/Fleetwood Mac 1975 the first album with Nicks/Buckingham, and precedes Rumours.

Unutterably wonderful novels.

I had no idea this existed, but I'm now inspired to get it.

HR, many, many thanks for the heads up.

I've always wondered what they played.

Paul.

mongo,

The music is sonatas and duets composed by Locatelli, Haydn, Handel, Boccherini and Leclair.

Again:

"Gabriel Faure took the barcarolle to its apotheosis. Originating as a song sung by the Venetian gondoliers, the genre became wildly known during the eighteen century, and it was reported that barcarolles were so celebrated that every musical collector of taste in Europe was well furnished with them"

A nice touch of Alpha records (on top of their quality music and sound) is a detail of a famous painting on their covers while the whole painting is displayed on the attached informative booklets. In this case it is a painting by Edouard Manet (1832-1883) called The Grand Canal in Venice or Blue Venice.

Here is the paining:

Highly recommended flowing piano music with constant shifting of colors and moods. Married men surely would be reminded of their wives..

My mistake. Here is Manet's painting:
