Another beautiful Alpha production. This was my first CD of this label, and is one of my most played discs.

EJ,

This Marais disc on Alpha has been on on my list to get for a long time as well as their Schmelzer violin Sonatas:

Haim

Haim,

The Schmelzer album is also highly recommended! And if you like that, you also should hear Helene Schmitt in the Bach partitas and sonatas, also on Alpha.

Not for me I'm afraid, Blue's is a no go in my house.

Dean,

Wouldn't call it Blues, bit of Memphis maybe. I like the album but his 'Ain't No Grave' falls well short of the version we just got on the Cash album.

Cheers ... Oliver

On the black stuff - very hard to find this anywhere...my copy nearly has the front picture worn off from scraping up piles of herbal matter with a match book - after all, it was the first album alphabetically in the collection in college so it figured to get pressed into service for such!
