Verdi's Un Ballo in Maschera with Pavarotti, Bruson, M. Price and under Georg Solti. Solti is not at his most imaginative here, but not bad overall... AND he has a close to perfect singer line-up.

Hélène Schmitt - second volume of Bach's music for solo violin. Schmitt has a very imaginative, passionate way with the sonatas and partitas. The complexity of the music is highlighted, which don't make these the most 'easygoing' of sets. But the numerous breathtaking moments make up for it, e.g. the andante of sonata #2. Recording is close-up and detailed.

What do you think, Pat?

I like it. I've always liked her songs and voice, but have only 1 or 2 albums. So I find it to be a nice compilation.
