quote:Good one Big H, have you heard the 'Redux' version, the production is a little bit more raw and brings out new life to the album.
"Our"' version of 10, is a '92 14 track version 3 ? extra tracks.

Jamie,
That was probably me reviewing the Newcastle show. I did enjoy it, however it was the first time I had seen them live since about 1980/81.
The new stuff from the latest album was aired, but the back catalogue was excellent. Within that range, I include the like of "Siberia" and "What are you going to do with your life" that I bought long before the tour, but 20 odd years after my last Bunnymen purchase.
They were always better live than on record IMHO, but so are a lot of bands that never quite capture the same emotion in the studio, as they do live.
A theory probably worth its own thread.
Regards
Nic

I should leave this thread as people keep posting things that I want to buy, thats just not fair.No worries I'll stick on my list to get next year.
Dean...
Very mixed feedback on last year's tour. Have a look through the 'gigs you have seen' thread. Newcastle (I think) got good reviews, but the Leeds show was appalling.
Thanks Jamie.

I don't get excited about much new music - Mind you; this is Marc Cohn's interpretations of some pop classics from 1970. A decent recording too.
Less is more. Nothing is over-egged, and at 43 minutes, its the length of a proper album and beautiful from start to finish.
And ...............
Derivative of Pink Floyd/Porcupine Tree with lovely melodic Gilmour-esque guitar. Thanks to Denis for this recommendation.
John.

Having seen him play it live at the Proms I am loving this set from Lewis. Played so beautifully.

On Spotify:-
Not really taken to this, it's pleasant enough, but I think I'll stick with Neil Young. 5/10
I really enjoyed Si Paloma.
