I like his style. He is my "go to" when I want to listen to Beethoven.
I must go and see him live in concert soon.

The record that started it all for me and my love affair with Electronica and analogue synths. Just watched Jamies posted clip of JMJ playing with all the Moogs, Arps, Mellotrons and Vcs' that made this fantastic piece of music so just had to play it again for the 200000000000000000 time on my knackered original copy.

I agree Adrian and that video and album have got me thinking I want to have my own Synth museum.

That's the same for me

I have all his CDs, I think he's great. Maybe one of the best living pianists.

On Spotify:-
Again a pretty good album. I think I prefer it to the previous one,he seems to have a more distinct and individual sound on this one.

The ones after that one are mainly Roland solo efforts though.

Just bought 2 new CDs from promising new artists:
Lights by Ellie Goulding:
Highly rated by many but just a bit saccharine sweet and forgettable to these ears.
Much better, and memorable, if not remarkable for a debut album is Catching a Tiger by Lissie:
Rather good, or so I thought.
However, I then switched from CD to LP and played Crossroads by Tracy Chapman....
Ahhh, well, she really was rather brilliant on this album, wasn't she. Aural bliss, especially on a decent turntable!
Best regards, FT

Having seen him play it live at the Proms I am loving this set from Lewis. Played so beautifully.
It's a great set, we'll have to catch him sometime this year.

It has just been released. Got mine from Japan today, together with some other nice stuff as the Jam at Basie with Hank Jones and a few missing Dexter Gordon CDs as well.
I think the Jam at Basie is really good.
