What are you listening to? (VOL VI)

Still one of my top ten favourites of 2010:

Also one of my fave finds of 2010 (although released in 2008).

Darmon Meader's 'And So Am I'; chief arranger and saxophonist of the New York Voices. Track 3 has got to be one of the coolest jazz tunes ever. Just vocals backing the lead sax.

On vinyl:-

Played this several times today in the car and it is superb. Now going to play the vinyl.

Ordered it over the weekend, should be here tomorrow.

Another greatly under-appreciated talent. Beautiful, accomplished actress, singer and activist. Starred in "For the Love of Ivy" with Poitier, and Leon Bibb, who is a great singer, actor and father of Eric.
