Sorry to say this is a Flac download from somewhere. I would happily pay a reasonable price for the CD, but not over £40 for used copies on Amazon, or over £100 for a new one.
Does anyone know if this is in line for one of the Deluxe editions, and are those issued so far good, or just loudness infected remasters.
I am watching a 1985 Canadian copy on Ebay, so I might go for that unless bidding gets silly.

Due for rerelease. I read somewhere it would be this year. I am fine with the new versions.

Bought this on vinyl (£24 for 3 LPs isn't bad at all) on a whim really having seen it posted on here a few times. Really very charmed by it - fabulous in the dark with red wine. Much prefer the harp tracks to the piano ones - highly recommend.

I am a relative newbie when it comes to this artist and so during a BBQ in London today ( with my mostly Auzzie friends) they almost all suggested that this album was the greatest record ever made...I wasn't sure...but I am prepared to consider the idea as I listen now.

Final thoughts? Side 2 for me is especially superb.

Thanks for that.
Glad to see you trying the Mark Kozelek/Sun Kil Moon albums, I hope you are enjoying them.

Some of my Jimmy Smith purchases have been hit or miss. This one is just fantastic. The production is great & the big band sound sets off Jimmy's funky organ playing brilliantly. You've probably all got this album & I'm just playing catch-up, but if not give it a listen. Highly recommended.

I have so many versions of it but I don't think I have the Brendel.

It's the Liszt that makes this record indispensible, really some of the best stuff that Brendel ever did. His Pictures are good as well, but Brendel's refusal to let go means that some of it sounds undernourished - depending on expectations and preferences of course.

Loved her singing in the 80s and early 90s, when her intelligence was matched with a truly beautiful voice. By the late nineties, as on this record, she had lost some of that beauty. This is still very good, though.

I would agree with your assessment.
