Enjoying this very much. Thanks to John and primarily a bloke named Dennis.

Me too. Going to spin it now. I wonder if Sir David has had a listen....

I posted this album a while ago and no one seemed interested! I really like it.

Big Grin

Didn't mean it quite the way it sounded..but yes I am.

Is it possible for an album to be firmly rooted in the time it was made and also wonderfully timeless?

If it is I nominate my next choice.

Or is just nostalgia?

Who mastered the vinyl? The AP CD comes with two different masterings, one based on tubes and one based on evil transistors. Winker

PS: If I recall correctly Doug Sax did the tube mastering and Bernie Grundmann did the transistors.

Don't mean to sound like a setter of trends, but here is my first Airbag posting earlier this year Winker

Steve Hoffman - does not say on the cover, but he was mastering all these Fantasy releases. I think Kevin Gray might have been working with him.

I need to save some dosh and put in another large order for a batch of these as they sound superb.

Just when I thought I had something that was all me, that I was first at...how typical of this forum to raise my hopes up and then smash them down. Oh cruel world, will the suffering never end. I retreat into my shell, defeated.

With apologies to Rimbaud.. Big Grin

BigH,

Every year AA play a couple of weeks of gigs in December at Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho. They are superb live - you really should go and see it as I think you will really like it. Jane and I saw them probably in 2003 now and it was a really great night out. This year they are playing from Dec 16 to Dec 31.
