Great single. I still consider Prince one of the most talented human beings on the planet.

Amen! This track and 'Purple Rain' are contenders for best singles of that decade.

One of the best rock albums of the 80s, together with 'The Joshua Tree' and 'Rattle and Hum'.

Naim electronics are so versatile. Not only does jazz sound great on the Supernait, rock also sounds really good. I love Naim! Big Grin

Does anyone here have the Remastered Super Deluxe Edition? Is it worth the extra 'few' quid?

Contains one of the great rock anthems, 'Sunday Bloody Sunday'.

Still with the 80s theme:

On 50p second hand vinyl.

Yes, it is worth it for the extra tracks and material. The CD sounds better than the original, but the Mobile Fidelity release has an interesting character that some prefer.

Schubert's string quintet, a cheerful work from his early thirties. Roll Eyes

Gosh, EJ, hardly cheerful, and one of the last pieces that Schubert ever wrote.*

*: Some may not have spotted your (apparent) irony!

Heard "Everybody Loves the Sunshine" for the first time the other day and thought it was contemporary! A great find.

Graham, how about: Schubert's string quintet, one of his bleakest, dramatic but also touchingly beautiful works written in the year of his death?
