Do you have/know Mozart's similarly bleak/beautiful late String Quintets, KV515 and 516 (played with two violas, rather than two cellos)?

EJ, I have that very set, although not that edition. Perhaps the most profound music that Mozart ever wrote, and (apparently) little known.
Incidentally, there's a wonderfully recorded Naim CD of 515/516 by the augmented Allegri Quartet, with which (along with the Alban Berg Quartett's EMI recording) I supplement the Grumiaux set.

Graham, thanks for this. I've been on the lookout for a modern recording of these quintets and I've just ordered the Allegri from Naim's site. Don't know the Alban Berg - I love their Schubert and Haydn but never connected to their Beethoven and Brahms. How are they here?
